Editing or withdrawing entries
Last updated: 2026-05-29
Negotiations move fast and numbers get corrected. Every offer and demand in the ledger can be edited or withdrawn, and every change is captured in the Working Log so you keep a complete, timestamped history of the room.
Edit an entry
Each offer and demand row in the ledger has an Edit button.
- Click Edit on the entry.
- The same modal you used to record it reopens, pre-filled with the current values.
- Change the amount, bracket range, note, or non-monetary terms.
- Click Save.
Use Edit to fix a typo or correct a misheard number — not to record a party's next move. A genuinely new number should be recorded as its own offer or demand so the progression stays visible.
Withdraw an entry
When a party pulls a number off the table, use Withdraw (the red button on the row).
- The entry is marked as withdrawn and grayed out in the ledger.
- It stays in the log — withdrawing never deletes history.
- Withdrawal can't be undone. If the party puts the number back, record it again as a fresh entry.
The Working Log
Everything you record, edit, withdraw, or settle is written to the Working Log tab as a timestamped event. Beyond being an audit trail, the log is what lets the app rebuild a case if anything ever goes wrong — see Recovering from a crash.
